AASPT Bylaws Notification

Dear Academy Member -

In 2023, the APTA released their revised model bylaws for components and requested that Academies work towards updating their bylaws.  The AASPT created a Bylaws Task Force, consisting of Bylaw chair Barney Poole, Secretary Katie Lucas, Barb Sanders, Joe Black, and Mason Dwinnell and Scott Euype.

The AASPT Bylaws Task Force has worked diligently over the past few months to produce necessary updates revisions for our bylaws, identify areas that needed clarification, and to assure that our bylaws are compliant in mirroring the APTA model bylaws.

The revised bylaws have been submitted and approved by the APTA and the APTA Parliamentarian.  Our next step is to have members discuss and approve by a vote on the revision at our next business meeting.

Below is a summary and edits to review ahead of our business meeting.  Our AASPT parliamentarian, Barney Poole, will be available for discussion and questions.  Our business meeting will be held at CSM in Boston on 2/15 at 5:30 PM in Convention Center Room 157ABC.
